1
How do current impact assessment laws and practices take social development effects into account? In particular, how do they identify, assess and monitor health impacts on most vulnerable groups such as women and indigenous peoples? What could be done to improve the way that these issues are addressed, in sustainable development law, policy and practice across the Americas?

2
How do current impact assessment laws and practices ensure public access to information, participation and access to justice? In particular, how do they engage civil society, including local communities in project design and implementation, in assessment design and implementation, and in assessment follow-up? What could be done to improve the way that public participation is ensured, in sustainable development law, policy and practice across the Americas?

3
How do different social, environmental and economic institutions cooperate in the assessment of development projects in the Americas, at domestic and international levels? Is collaboration seamless or fragmented, and why? What governance best practices support more integrated assessment, project decision-making and implementation of assessment recommendations? “
