Ms. Alicen Chow,
Legal Research Fellow
Ms. Alicen Chow, BCL, LL.B. (McGill), Joint B.E.S. (Environment and Resource Studies and English Literature) is an Associate Fellow with the CISDL. Ms. Chow’s experience with the Centre includes representing the CISDL in the 2002 Monterrey United Nations Conference on Financing for Development, which was led by Paul Martin as Finance Minister of Canada, as well as being one of the principal organisers of the CISDL’s 2002 Sustainable Justice Conference in Montreal, Canada. She has also interned with the Foundation for International Environmental Law and Development (FIELD) in London, England, in the Trade and Investment Programme. She currently works for the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) in Ottawa, Canada, and the Centre for Global Studies at the University of Victoria, Canada. Her research focuses on linkages between environment and health issues, human rights and influencing international law/policy.
