Ms. Kathryn Garforth, LL.B. (Osgoode Hall), M.E.S (York) is a Legal Research Fellow with the CISDL. She conducts research on access to genetic resources and benefit-sharing as well as biosafety, has served as a consultant to the UNEP-GEF project on the Development of National Biosafety Frameworks, and led the CISDL delegation to the 7th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity as well as the second meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-Ended Working Group on Access to Genetic Resources and Benefit-Sharing. She is currently developing manuals for publication in the areas of access and benefit-sharing and biosafety.
