Mr. Jarrod Hepburn, LLB (Hons), BE (Software) (Hons), LMusA is an Associate Fellow with the CISDL in the Trade, Investment and Competition Law Research Programme. He has experience in the Intellectual Property departments of the Australian corporate law firms Mallesons Stephen Jaques and Allens Arthur Robinson. He served two years as IT Manager and General Member of the Melbourne University Law Review, and spent one semester in France studying the French, European and global systems for protection of human rights and freedoms. Jarrod lived for 3 months in Ghana as a volunteer English and Science teacher, and travelled throughout Ghana and Burkina Faso. His research interests lie in the relations between trade and development, balancing wealth creation through trade and traditional ways of life, and sustainable development law's role in poverty eradication, and he expects to develop these further in postgraduate studies commencing in 2007. Jarrod is currently an Articled Clerk with Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Melbourne. He plays violin and piano, speaks English, French and basic German, and has a soft spot for Montreal.
