Henry Lovat, B.A. (Philosophy and Politics, Manchester), M.A. (Political Science, McGill), Post-Graduate Dip. Law (College of Law, London) is a trainee solicitor and Associate Fellow at the CISDL. His legal interests include international trade and competition law and human rights and humanitarian law. Other academic interests include International Relations theory and the politics of transitional justice and war crimes tribunals.
Mr Lovat was previously an Associate Protection Officer with UNHCR in Sarajevo, where his work focused on refugee and IDP return in the context of the 1995 Dayton Peace Accords. He has also worked as Public Affairs Officer for the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities and as Foreign Affairs advisor to Jim Murphy MP. He is currently completing legal training with a law firm in London.
