Mr. Gustavo Giménez-Comas, LLB (Buenos Aires), is a legal research fellow with the CISDL. He is an Argentine lawyer with twelve years of experience as an advisor of top-notch companies for commercial and business issues, including M&A, international trade law, international licensing, export credit agencies’matters, debt restructuring, commercial agreements, etc. He was also one of the first registered Mediator of Buenos Aires for civil and commercial matters. He is graduated in the University of Buenos Aires, Faculty of Law, Argentina, in 1991. He has completed several post-graduate courses, including subjects as economy, international finance, international business, telecommunications, mediation and negotiation skills, among others. He is member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association, the Argentine Institute of Commercial Law, the Study of Comparative Law Group of the University of Buenos Aires – Faculty of Law (Post-graduate Department) and he has lectured regularly to undergraduate students of Law at the University of Buenos Aires, Faculty of Law, in the subject International Business Law with focus on Mercosur issues. He has worked in Buenos Aires at the traditional law firm ¨G. Breuer¨, and previously, in ¨Giménez Hutton Lawyers¨ and for the Central Bank of the Republic of Argentina. His habitual work also includes the analysis of new treaties and legislation and the draft of legal articles for the Firm’s Newsletter and paper-works for colleagues. Spanish is his mother tongue and he also manages oral and written English, French and functional Portuguese. He has settled down in Montreal in 2003 with his family.

In Montreal he translates for UNICEF (HQ-NY), UN V. Comm. Unit (Bonn, Germany), and other related NGOs, follows a Barreau du Quebec program, and collaborates with CISDL.
