Mark Searl B.A. (Steubenville), B.C.L., LL.B (McGill), LL.M. (Cantab.) is a former Research Fellow with the CISDL who cooperates with the Human Rights and Poverty Alleviation Programme. His research interests lie in the area of socio-economic rights, including the right to social security and the right to development. Mr. Searl spent a year as an intern in Johannesburg, South Africa working with two human rights organizations, the Legal Resources Centre and the Centre for Applied Studies, University of the Witwatersrand. He is currently employed as a legal advisor at the Canadian Human Rights Commission. Mr. Searl is a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago and Canada, and speaks English, French and Spanish.
