Yenny Vega Cardenas (Colombia/Canada)
Ms. Yenny Vega Cardenas, LL.M (Montréal), Ll.B (Montréal), DESS (UST-Colombia), LL.L (UST-Colombia), is a doctoral candidate at the Université de Montéal, Faculty of Law. She has worked as legal counsel in her native Columbia and has held various teaching, research an administrative posts at the Université de Montréal. She has recently finished an internship at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Sur, (UABS) in Mexico where she examined the management of water at the Mexico-US border. She has published several articles on the legal status of water management in North America. She is interested in researching legal issues concerning water, biodiversity, international trade and women’s rights. She speaks fluent Spanish, French and English.
