Ms. Patricia Day, B.C.L. / LL.B. Candidate (McGill University). Born in the North East of Scotland, Ms. Day graduated M.A. from the University of Aberdeen. After emigrating to Canada she completed a B.Sc. in Agricultural with a major in renewable resources, agricultural land planning and environmental conservation (Great Distinction). In May 2010 she will graduate for a second time from McGill with a double law degree (B.C.L. / LL.B.). She has taken two environmental law courses: one relating to domestic (Canadian) law and the other international. She was galvanised into submitting her candidature to the CISDL’s research group by Gwynn Dyer’s Climate Wars. She hopes to return to Europe to use her broad-based education and considerable life experience to contribute to reducing global warming. She has raised three environmentally-conscious children, is an avid organic gardener and recycles waste furniture.
