Carlo Dante DiNicola
Associate Fellow
Mr. Carlo Dante Di Nicola, LL.B. (Montréal), LL.B. Common Law candidate (Ottawa), is an Associate Fellow with the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law (CISDL), focusing primarily on Sustainable Trade, Investment and Competition Law. He was formerly manager of the CISDL Secretariat. Mr. Di Nicola holds a bilingual International Baccalaureate diploma in History from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf and a Civil Law degree from the Université de Montréal. He is currently pursuing a Common Law degree through the National Program at the University of Ottawa. He has successfully completed his Quebec Bar exams. He is representing the University of Ottawa at the 2008 Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot competition held in Vienna, Austria. He has previously worked for one of Canada’s premier international human rights and refugee lawyers in cases before the Federal Court of Canada and the UN Human Rights Council. His legal research interests include international trade law, natural resources and international human rights. Mr. Di Nicola is a native Montrealer and also holds European Union citizenship. He is fluent in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese and enjoys jazz, literature and travel.
