Ms. Sarah Gagnon-Turcotte, LL.M candidate (Université du Québec à Montréal), B.A. (Université de Montréal) is currently Coordinator of the Pôle francophone of the Network for Business Sustainability (NBS), which is based at the Chaire de responsabilité sociale et de développement durable at UQÀM. Prior to that appointment, she held a research position at the Great Lakes Commission, an intergovernmental body, based on the awarding of a competitive scholarship. She has previously worked at Unisfera International Center, a Montreal-based NGO focusing on international environmental issues, where she did consultancy work for the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC). She also studied and worked in Northern China. Ms. Gagnon-Turcotte has been specializing on issues at the intersection of trade, the environment (especially climate change) and international law. The link between climate change and intellectual property rights, technology transfer, competition and industrial and development policy are among her strongest interests. She graduated with distinction from a Bachelors degree in International Studies and she is now completing a masters degree in International Law. She is fluent in French and English.
