Throughout her inter-disciplinary degree she founded and coordinated the Mac Sustainable Project and has been president of the Macdonald Campus Student Society (MCSS), always focusing on sustainable development issues, outreach and awareness through the university personal, students and community. She is currently working on a masters in geography, (micrometeorology) at McGill and in collaboration with Hydro-Quebec. Through her research she is particularly interested in understanding and finding more about the biogeophysical properties of climate change, looking at the net greenhouse gases emissions from a newly impounded hydroelectric reservoir North of Quebec. On a longer term, Marie-Eve is particularly interested in bridging the gap between science and policy. She strongly believes in the urge to act on socio-economics issues related to climate change, human rights and social justice. Ms. Lemieux is fluent in French and English, enjoys hiking, outdoor activities and loves traveling.
