Munja Maksimcev, LL.B. Common law candidate (Ottawa), BCL (Montréal). Ms. Maksimcev earned a civil law degree from the Université de Montréal and holds a bilingual International Baccalaureate Diploma from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf. She is currently pursuing a common law degree at the University of Ottawa. Through her participation in a summer seminar in France on the European Union, she had the opportunity to familiarize herself with different aspects of European integration, international human rights law and trade law. She has also worked as a legal intern at La Maisonnée Inc., an NGO specialized in immigration, refugee and human rights law. Her profound interest in these various issues earned her the Rodolphe-Lemieux award for academic excellence in international public law. She is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Serbo-Croatian. Her current research interests include biodiversity, trade, natural resources law, climate change and human rights. She enjoys sports, music, literature and travel.
