Mme. Heather McCready
CISDL Publications Officer
Heather McCready is the Publications Officer at the CISDL. She brings to the position almost ten years of experience researching and writing about sustainable development. She sharpened her editing and research skills while serving as an editor of the McGill Journal of Political Studies, and working as a research assistant to the Honourable Juanita Westmoreland-Traoré of the Cour du Québec. She is also on the management board of the International Journal of Sustainable Development Law and Policy. She holds an Honours B.A. in Political Science, with a Minor in International Development Studies, as well as an M.A. in Political Science. She has been committed to International Development Studies throughout her post-secondary education, conducting an independent fieldwork trip in Oaxaca, Mexico in 1998. Heather is currently in her second year of a combined Civil and Common Law degree at McGill University. Her research interests include natural resources and conflict, mining and natural resource extraction, trade regulation, environmental law, and international criminal justice. She speaks English, basic French, and reads Spanish and Italian.
