Karine Peloffy (Canada)
Ms. Karine Peloffy, B.C.L. / LL.B (McGill) is a current Masters student at the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford. Prior to joining CISDL, she was a corporate litigator at the Montreal office of Davies Ward Phillips and Vineberg practicing in the areas of corporate, administrative, securities, environmental and corporate criminal law. Through her legal education and volunteer involvement, she researched issues relating to international trade law and environmental/social labeling schemes, the notion of state interest in international arbitration, community forest management and indigenous entitlements and general international law. She has also collaborated in the preparation of a human rights law training manual for paralegals in Zanzibar (Tanzania). She speaks French, English and basic Spanish.
