Ms. Shauna Troniak, LL.M. Candidate (McGill), LL.B. (Ottawa), B.A. (McGill). Shauna‘s masters thesis research is on the integration of indigenous laws with broader legal frameworks for environmental and resource management. Her research interests include legal pluralism, environmental governance, and community-driven development. Previously she was a student researcher at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Oceania Regional Office in the Fiji Islands, and a program officer at the World Bank Indigenous Peoples Secretariat in Washington, D.C. Originally from Winnipeg, Canada, Shauna has lived and worked in Ukraine, China and the United States. She speaks Engilsh and French, and basic Mandarin, Russian and Ukrainian.
