Sylvie Trottier, M.Sc. Environment and Development (LSE), B.Sc. Environmental Studies (McGill), is excited to be joining the CISDL team as Financial Officer. Ms. Trottier is currently working for the David Suzuki Foundation as coordinator of scientific content, and recently completed a masters dissertation looking at the effects of voluntary third party certification on the carbon offset market. She worked for a couple of years for a Fair Trade coffee importing cooperative, where she handled everything from producer relations to international container shipping logistics. She is primarily interested in climate change policy and how international law can improve incentives for participation and compliance in global environmental governance. She speaks French and English fluently, and Spanish passably. When not working, she can be found biking, seeing live music, or reading quietly.
