Mr. Witold Tymowski, B.C.L & LL.B (McGill), B.A. (McGill) is a Legal Research Fellow with the CISDL. He is also presently a Legal Counsel at the Supreme Court of Canada, and collaborates with IUCN and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on a legal guide to the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture. Mr. Tymowski has practised in the field of international trade and intellectual property law with the law firm Stikeman Elliott LLP. He has worked for the Environmental Law and Policy Center (ELPC) in Chicago, Illinois and the Trade Law Programme of the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL) in Geneva, Switzerland.. He has also worked for World Conservation Union (IUCN) Environmental Law Centre in Bonn, Germany. He is fluent in English, French, Polish, and basic German.
