Adv. Alexander Ramdass, LLB (UWI), LLM (Legislative Drafting, UWI), LLM (Environmental Law, Lewis & Clark), is an Attorney-at-Law with over five years of experience specializing in civil litigation, environmental law, and legislative drafting. He currently practices at Invictus Chambers in Trinidad and Tobago, where he handles complex land disputes and public interest litigation.
Known for his strategic legal thinking and powerful advocacy, Alexander has worked extensively with civil society to advance environmental justice. His legal career began as in-house counsel for the Trinidadian NGO Fishermen and Friends of the Sea, where he led legal strategies supporting coastal and quarry communities. His passion for environmental law and sustainable development led him to the Shridath Ramphal Research Centre in Barbados, where he conducted in-depth research on trade agreements and climate change in the Commonwealth Caribbean.
He was also an International Fellow at the Environmental Law Institute in Washington D.C., contributing to the 2024 UNEP Report on the Environmental Rule of Law. Alexander brings sharp legal acumen, a deep commitment to social and environmental equity, and a strong track record of impactful legal research and advocacy.
