Adv. Himanshu Pabreja, B.Com LLB (Dist.) (GNLU), MSc (Environmental Policy, LSE) is an India-qualified environmental lawyer and researcher with over five years of professional experience working with law firms, NGOs, academia, and research organisations. Starting as a corporate and fintech lawyer, he gradually pivoted his career towards environmental and climate change law and worked with leading grassroots organisations and law firms in India. He has assisted stakeholders such as civil society, government officials, communities, corporations, and investors in navigating the complex legal landscape concerning energy transition, pollution, EIA, climate adaptation, biodiversity conservation, ESG, and related issues.

He has contributed to various research projects at leading institutions like LSE’s Grantham Research Institute and UCL at the intersection of climate policy, governance, litigation, and AI. His writings have been published by leading outlets including Routledge, Economic & Political Weekly, and The Hindu BusinessLine. He is a member of several youth organisations, including Legal Voices for the Future and the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN). His current interests lie in exploring legal pathways to address the cascading impacts of the triple ecological crises, the influence of climate advisory bodies, planetary boundaries, and non-CO₂ emissions abatement.
