Adv. Xinyuan Meng

Adv. Xinyuan Meng (preferred name: Meng) is a recent graduate of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. He obtained his LL.b from the Sun Yat-Sen University and Master of International Law from the Graduate Insitute.

He speaks Chinese, English, and French.

Xinyuan Meng was a researcher on the legal team of the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory, where he researched the interface between autonomous vehicles and the Law of the Sea. Xinyuan Meng was also affiliated with the International Organization Law Clinic at the Graduate Insitute and conducted research on the topic of “enhancing the participation of indigenous peoples and local communities in the international decision-making process” at the request of the Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). His research output has become an official information paper for the CITES.
