Adv. Zunaida Moose Wadiwala is an admitted Attorney, Conveyancer & Notary of the High Court of South Africa. She has submitted her LLM Degree by Dissertation (currently undergoing examination) in Transnational Climate Litigation at the University of the Witwatersrand, School of Law where she works as an Assistant & Lecturer.
She previously practiced as a property law lawyer in Johannesburg, specialising in conveyancing, deceased estate and notarial matters. Zunaida holds a certificate in medicine and law, with a focus on forensic medicine. Zunaida has transitioned to Academic Law where her research interests include climate law, governance and litigation as well as water justice. Zunaida has published on environmental law and climate litigation. She is appointed as an Examiner at the Legal Practice Council (Law Society of South Africa) for the Attorney’s, Conveyancer’s and Notary’s Admission Examinations. Further, serves as a Rapporteur for the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law at Columbia University, covering South Africa, Saudi Arabia and the Middle East region. She serves as a member of the editorial team for GNHRE. She speaks English, Afrikaans, Urdu & Arabic.
