Dr. Avidan Kent

Dr Avidan Kent (LLB (Haifa), LLM (McGill), PhD Cantab) is an Associate Professor and Director of Research at the University of East Anglia’s Law School. He has written and edited books, journal articles and chapters on a varied list of topics, including Environmental Law, Economic Law, international courts, Public Participation and Climate-Induced Migration. Avidan is currently co-authoring (with Simon Behrman) his third monograph (‘Re-Framing International Law on Climate-Induced Migration’, under contract with Cambridge University Press). His recent publications include a monograph on renewable energy investment in the Global South (Routledge, 2021), and a co-edited collection on climate migration (Cambridge University Press, 2022). He has written reports and papers for IGOs, governments, think tanks, and one museum. In 2020, Avidan was awarded the CISDL Trade Investment and Finance Legal Specialist Award.
