Dr. Pamela Towela Sambo

Dr. Pamela Towela Sambo, Ph.D., LL.M. (Environmental Law), is a Private Law Lecturer at the University of Zambia. Dr. Sambo is specialised in the legal aspects of environmental justice, environmental impact assessments (EIAs), climate law, sustainable soil legislation and human rights. She has over 25 years of experience in Zambian law practice and research.
As a senior fellow of CISDL, her research interests include cross-cutting environmental issues, sustainable development, sustainable soil governance and climate justice. She has previously served as Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission of Zambia and Head of Department, Private Law at the University of Zambia. Her current teaching interests are spread across the law of torts, legal research methodology, human rights, and environmental law.
