Mr. Kounga’s research topic focuses on Development projects and Human rights. He has worked with CISDL on several projects pertaining to biodiversity, access and benefits sharing, sustainable development, climate change and translation. Additionally, he has worked with the IDLO Green Economic Law Working Group on the Legal Preparedness for achieving the Aichi Biodiversity Targets presented at the 11th Conference of the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 11) in Hyderabad, India. He has also worked with the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) on the issue of land grabs for conservation in Cameroon.

Kounga has regularly presented different works in several international conferences and symposium on biodiversity, lands grabs, sustainable development and law. These works focused on biodiversity, extractive industries, human rights, environmental justice and indigenous people.

Mr Kounga’s area of research include biodiversity/biosafety law, fresh water law, green economy, land tenure, human rights law and extractive industries.
