Ms. Kelly Weiling Zou is an experienced grassroots organizer dedicated to supporting marginalized communities. As a Juris Doctor/Juris Indigenarum Doctor candidate at the University of Victoria, she believes that Indigenous sovereignty is crucial to creating an equitable future. Her areas of study focus on the revitalization and application of Indigenous legal orders in addressing environmental and social harm. In her community, Kelly works with harm reduction organizations to provide life-affirming services for those impacted by poverty, colonization, stigma, and houselessness. Kelly also works with her local restorative justice organization to provide community-based, non-carceral, and culturally relevant responses to harm.
