Ms. Kendall Damon

Climate Law and Governance Initiative Coordinator

Ms Kendall Damon, BSc Public Policy & Data Analytics, Energy & Env (Univ S Cal), MPhil Env Policy cand. (Cantab) is a coordinator of CISDL’s Climate Law and Governance Initiative and serves in the CISDL Secretariat.

Currently, she is interning with a purpose-led synthetic biology company to develop a sustainability report in alignment with the SDGs. Previously, she helped to establish LA County’s new central justice agency for vulnerable justice-impacted people while volunteering as Justice Intern to an LA County Supervisor. She has also worked on housing, workers rights’, and energy and environment policy while serving as Policy Deputy to a Santa Monica City Councilor. She learned federal climate policy while working as an intern for a US Senator and also worked as a Communications Assistant for the Sol Price School of Public Policy throughout her undergraduate studies.

Her research focuses on equitable climate adaptation policy within urban systems, analyzing climate action plans in LA County to determine opportunities and barriers to transformative urban climate action. She also has deep academic interest in the governance of climate adaptation and the climate justice literature.
